Corporate greed makes the gym a profit-first, gym member-last experience. It's always super overcrowded to where you often have to wait in lines to do anything. Furthermore they don't take care of their equipment. Here's a list of some of what you get to experience here - you will often find loose bolts in machines, almost no cable machines have weight labels or wires attached to the pins, they didn't shovel the sidewalk until over a week after it snowed, the parking lot is too small, the locker rooms are the most rancid I've ever had to use in my life, there have been lights burnt out for months, mirrors by the squat racks have stains all over them, the padding of machines are ripped and falling apart, front door has been "getting fixed" for over three months, and much more. It's actually quite amazing how quickly they had a brand new gym turn this bad. Don't forget some of the pictures they upload of the gym on here to show nice it is are not actually this gym, but really, other Vasa locations. The only reason it gets two stars is because they have squat racks and benches. That's it. So if you don't need those, I'd recommend looking somewhere else.

I got my membership at Vasa when they first opened in summer of 2022. It started out great! I loves the variety of options and amenities. The employees who had traveled from other locations to open this one were kind and helpful. Lately, it is so busy you cannot even get a workout in. The parking lot is ridiculous, with people parking in areas that aren't even parking spots. If you're lucky enough to find a spot without driving around for 20 minutes waiting, best of luck inside. There are waits for about every machine, weights and cardio equipment even during non-peak hours. I initially downgraded hoping I would be able to find the time and energy to fight the crowds, but even the $10/month isn't worth the stress.

The good: Best overall gym facility in SE WI in terms of facility. Update 9/18/23 - In spite of the massive influx of new members months ago VASA has added ZERO pieces of additional equipment. Busiest gym I've ever been to. It's beyond packed from 4 to 8 pm. Can't believe they still email members pushing referrals. The gym is over capacity. Be prepared to wait 5-15 minutes for most equipment. The bad: With the closing of Xperience fitness the already extremely busy gym from 4-8pm is now unbearably packed. On popular pieces of equipment there is (no exageration) sometimes a wait of 2-3 people. THIS GYM NEEDS TO ADD EQUIPMENT LIKE YESTERDAY. There is plenty of room to add more equipment. If they are going to just keep selling $10 a month memberships with no limit there has to come a point when the gym can't absorb any more people. I'd argue we are past that point when people have to wait 20 minutes to use popular equipment (bench press, leg press, leg extention, etc) VASA - Please please add more equipment. The bad: (see update below) The gym is chock full of Gen Z walking around with camera tripods setting up for their social media influencer fantasies. Seriously expect about 6 tripods at any given time. One dude live streams his entire workout (and I can't imagine who wants to see the little guy workout) Seriously Gen Z. Its a gym not a video studio. Its already crowded enough without you setting up your tripod in the middle of the aisles, getting the perfect angle, reviewing your footage for the perfect shot. Not to mention others don't want to be on your internet feed nor trip over your tripod. Get on your machine and get your workout done so someone else can do the same. Or come when its not busy for your video shoot. Update: 6/12/23 - Tripods are now virtually non-existent. Rumor is VASA now prohibits them. Definitely a good policy change. Also a growing contingent of 30+ year old members. Good mix. Also be VERY CAREFUL in both the men's and women's lockerrooms. Gen Z's constantly taking selfies in locker rooms and catching other unsuspecting members in the locker room in the background of their pictures. (update as of 12/11/22) VASA has posted signage in locker rooms to deter photo/video taking.

Great equipment. However completely packed to the gills 24/7. Bathrooms have pools of water and seem like a ten year old cleaned them, disgusting! The sauna has no rules dudes coming in their underwear with their wangs halfway out. Front doors have been broken almost a year now. I got a idea you should get more members to fix the problems, corporate greed! Btw who exactly is the manager because nobody knows and staff is nice but have zero control over anything.

Edited: we will most likely be leaving this gym. Twice now we have went and could not find parking. We joined this gym when they first opened and were excited about the new addition to New Berlin, but the over crowding is a major concern and not worth it. Please limit your capacity and cap memberships!!! Very good all-around gym for the price, and definitely the best in the area. Really hoping they do add more machines and equipment, though. It's near impossible to get a steady workout in during peak times. You're almost always waiting behind a few others for certain machines.
